Content Policy

Effective date: 2026-10-08

Scope and reports

This policy describes the legal copyright-reporting floor for Hub content. It is not a community taste or quality policy and does not promise broad content curation.

For general reports, contact support@mmon.co. A report link may prefill the page address from which it was opened; that convenience does not make the email a complete statutory copyright notice. Include the exact release or share address, including the particular release/version where applicable, so the operator can locate the material. A general report is not a substitute for a formal notice to the Copyright Agent.

Designated Copyright Agent

Copyright notice

Send a written notice to the designated Copyright Agent at the contact above. Under 17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3)(A), an effective notice must include:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act for the owner of the allegedly infringed exclusive right.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed. If one notice covers multiple works at one site, a representative list may be used.
  3. Identification of the material claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient for us to locate it. Give the exact Hub release/share URL and version where available.
  4. The complaining party's name and contact information, including address, telephone number and, if available, email address.
  5. A statement that the complaining party has a good-faith belief that the complained-of use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
  6. A statement that the notice's information is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that the sender is authorized to act for the owner of the allegedly infringed exclusive right.

What happens after a notice

For a valid copyright notice, the operator disables access to the affected release through the separate copyright disable-access mechanism, including for existing pins. This is not ordinary discovery-only withdrawal. The operator takes reasonable steps promptly to notify the affected subscriber.

If the subscriber submits a valid counter-notice, the designated agent promptly forwards it to the original complainant and advises the subscriber of the restoration window. Access is restored by the operator no fewer than 10 and no more than 14 business days after the agent receives the counter-notice, unless the agent first receives notice from the complainant that an action seeking a court order to restrain the subscriber has been filed. Restoration is operator-only; the publisher's Public/Unlisted selector cannot restore copyright-disabled material.

Ordinary withdrawal only removes a release from discovery and new adoption; existing pins continue to resolve. It is not the procedure for a copyright notice and is not described as DMCA-compliant. Already delivered copies cannot be recalled.

Counter-notice

A subscriber whose material was removed or disabled may send a written counter-notice to the designated Copyright Agent. Under 17 U.S.C. §512(g)(3), it must include:

  1. The subscriber's physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the material removed or disabled and the location where it appeared before removal or disablement.
  3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the subscriber has a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled because of mistake or misidentification.
  4. The subscriber's name, address and telephone number.
  5. A statement that the subscriber consents to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district where the subscriber's address is located; if the subscriber is outside the United States, for any judicial district in which the service provider may be found.
  6. A statement that the subscriber will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original notice or that person's agent.

Repeat infringement

Accounts of repeat infringers are terminated in appropriate circumstances through manual operator handling of existing Clerk and Convex surfaces. There is no fixed numeric strike count. This policy does not promise a new moderation system or a broader review of community taste.
