Terms of Service

Effective date: 2026-10-08

Who we are

These Terms concern Common Concept and the Hub, operated by mmon Co., a Delaware corporation. Our mailing address is 2261 Market Street #4755, San Francisco, CA 94114. For general questions and reports, contact support@mmon.co.

Publishing and reuse

When you publish a Patch, you give other users permission to adopt and fork that Patch with attribution. The Hub records release lineage in a base chain. That record helps show provenance and attribution; it is not proof that a publisher had legal permission to include every part, does not grant rights the publisher does not have, and does not detect every infringement.

The Hub does not offer a per-Patch license selector or creator payments. This general permission is not a choice of a separate license for each Patch.

Withdrawal and copyright reports

Ordinary release withdrawal removes a release name from Public discovery and blocks new adoption. Existing exact pins continue to resolve. Ordinary withdrawal is separate from a copyright notice and is not represented as a copyright-law remedy.

For a valid copyright notice, the operator disables access to the affected release, including through existing pins. This operator action is distinct from ordinary withdrawal. Only the operator can restore access; a publisher's Public or Unlisted setting cannot do so. Clearing a copyright disable-access gate does not clear an independent ordinary-withdrawal marker. Copies already delivered cannot be recalled.

Repeat infringement

Accounts of repeat infringers are terminated in appropriate circumstances. Handling is manual through existing Clerk and Convex operator surfaces. There is no numeric strike count.

Governing law and contact

Delaware law governs these Terms. For general questions, contact support@mmon.co. Formal copyright notices go to the designated Copyright Agent listed in the Content Policy, not merely to a report link.

Source and adaptation notice

These drafts adapt the archived Basecamp policy templates at basecamp/policies, commit 05fb1f9ddaaf604fc5816990fa66f3ffd7f0a462: Terms, Privacy, Use Restrictions and Copyright Claims. The repository licenses those templates under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0). The English text has been rewritten for this service and the Chinese text is a translation/adaptation; both changes are indicated here. The templates' promises and jurisdiction-specific facts were not carried over as facts about mmon Co. In particular, statutory copyright notice and counter-notice fields below follow 17 U.S.C. §512, not the template's erroneous alternative counter-notice contacts or district. The template license does not license Patches or determine their reuse rights.
